Collage Art by The Paper Fish

Desiree Kamman has done collage since 1997.   She lives with her husband Greg, two children Mitchell and Madison in Eagan, MN .   Not to forget Omar, the retired racing greyhound.   

Excerpt from Artists Statement,   

My balance in life and in art in never exactly in the middle.   I begin a collage by selecting papers by their color and texture, ripping , tearing and layering.   Once all the paper is in place the collage might seem loud and without order.    I blend and tone the colors together using more texture, color and dimensional pieces.   The artwork is finished with pigment, dye ink along with acrylic or pastels.   Any harsh disarray disappears and the collage becomes softer and balanced.
